    Librarian "House Calls"Problems searching? We are here to help! Schedule an appointment for a librarian to come to your office or classroom for a one-on-one searching session. We can help you develop a search strategy using any licensed database offered by the library. This service is offered to UMMC faculty and staff.
    Literature Search RequestsImprove your productivity! A librarian will craft and carry out a customized search for you or your department. Please fill out the form below to submit a request. This service is provided to UMMC faculty and staff at no cost. A small fee is charged for non-affiliates. Literature Search Request Form
    IACUC- Narrative SearchesThe Animal Welfare Act requires principal investigators to consider alternatives to painful procedures. Reference librarians will help you conduct a literature search using two different databases on the availability of alternatives including refinements, reductions, and replacements (3 Rs).
    Citation VerificationA librarian will check references for accuracy before your manuscript is submitted for publication. This service is provided to UMMC faculty and staff.
    My NCBI AccountWe can help you create and use a 'My NCBI' account.  Creating a 'My NCBI' Account.
    NIH Public Access Policy ComplianceThe NIH Public Access Policy requires scientists to submit final, peer-reviewed journal manuscripts that arise from NIH funds to the digital archive PubMed Central upon acceptance for publication. Reference librarians will be glad to work with you and answer any questions regarding this policy.
