Royal College of Surgeons invests SOD profs
Dr. Tracy M. Dellinger and Dr. Harold Mark Livingston, professors in the School of Dentistry’s Department of Advanced General Dentistry, will be invested with their Fellowship in Special Care Dentistry by the Royal College of Surgeons-Edinburgh on Friday, Sept. 5, in Symposium Hall in Edinburgh’s New Town District.
Dellinger and Livingston have been members of the college since 2001.
The Royal College of Surgeons-Edinburgh has a 500-year history of education and advancement of surgical practice. With more than 20,000 fellows and members worldwide, the Faculty of Dental Surgery comprises approximately 3,000.
Special care dentistry – oral health care for adolescents or adults with either disability or impairment – is one of the 13 dental specialties recognized in the United Kingdom.
