Wilcher's hospital stay extends to Disney vaca

Rob Armour, left, Friends of Children's Hospital board member and BankPlus chief marketing and business development officer, presents a Disney-themed gift basket and $1,000 CheckCard to 12-year-old Batson patient Grant Wilcher while Wilcher's sister, Alex, father, Jimmy, and mother, Lori, look on.

The Wilcher family were the lucky winners of the Orlando Dream Giveaway, which also included roundtrip airfare, ground transportation, five days' and four nights' accommodations at Walt Disney World's Polynesian Resort and tickets to Walt Disney World parks.

The Wilchers qualified for the contest because of Grant's stay at Batson Children’s Hospital for a neurological condition that causes headaches and other symptoms. The Orlando Dream Giveaway contest was open to any family that had a child stay at Batson Children’s Hospital for at least one night between March 15, 2013 and June 30, 2014. Eligible families participated through Facebook and mail.
