MIND Center data helps lead to winning posters
Two national medical groups have selected posters by three School of Medicine students pursuing research studies on atherosclerosis and cognitive decline as finalists in their respective poster competitions.
A poster by Brad Deere has been accepted as a finalist by the American College of Physicians, while posters by John Bridges and Brittany Simpson have been named Presidential Posters by the American Geriatric Society.
The posters will be presented at national meetings of the respective groups.
Dr. Michael Griswold and Dr. Gwen Windham were the primary mentors for the students.
“Competing against medical students from across the United States, it’s objective recognition for the quality of our students and also speaks to the quality of the programs we’re building,” said Dr. Tom Mosley, MIND Center director.
