Dental student earns national leadership award
Matt Loeb, a second-year dentistry student, recently received a Bud Tarrson Dental School Student Community Leadership Award, one of only six presented nationwide this year.
Loeb submitted a grant application to the American Dental Association Foundation last fall. The grant will provide $5,000 to support student activities at the Jackson Free Clinic.
Dr. Pia Chatterjee Kirk, associate professor of care planning and restorative sciences in the School of Dentistry, served as Loeb's faculty sponsor.
