HIV expert speaks at William Carey University

The meeting took place after Gay spoke to students, faculty and staff at the William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine.
In her talk, "Cure," Gay recounted how she and colleagues at Johns Hopkins Children's Center and the University of Massachusetts Medical School confirmed that she had functionally cured a Mississippi baby of HIV.
Gay will receive the annual Woman of Strength Award from Dress for Success Metro Jackson at its Little Black Dress with a Tie gala Oct. 3 at the Mississippi Museum of Art and Art Garden in Jackson.
