AAMC Southern Group elects Clark vice chair
Dr. Jerry Clark, chief student affairs officer, has been elected vice chair for the Association of American Medical Colleges' Southern Group on Student Affairs.
Elected in April, Clark will serve four years with the group as the position progresses to chair-elect, chair and past chair.
The Southern GSA includes academic health science centers and teaching hospitals in 14 southern states and Puerto Rico.
Dr. Steve Case, associate dean of admissions in the School of Medicine, recently chaired the GSA's Committee on Admissions.
The AAMC represents the interests of all 141 U.S. and 17 Canadian accredited medical schools, including approximately 75,000 medical students and 110,000 resident physicians.
