Pollack to give grand rounds presentation
Dr. Charles V. Pollack Jr., professor of emergency medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, chairman of emergency medicine at Pennsylvania Hospital and former resident at UMMC, will present Grand Rounds on Cardiology Triage/Intervention, "Appropriate Therapeutic Solutions to Improve Outcomes in ACS," from noon-1 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, in classroom 6A.
The conference will include a discussion of the integral role of platelet activation and aggregation in ACS and in stent thrombosis and an analysis of current ACCF/AHA/SCAI and ACCP guidelines on unstable angina, NSTEMI, STEMI and the use of PCI.
