Conference to discuss peds congenital heart
Dr. Richard Jonas, chief of cardiac surgery and codirector of the Children's National Heart Institute, Children's National Medical Center, will be the keynote speaker at the Congenital Heart Conference on Saturday, April 27, at the Medical Center.
The conference, a multidisciplinary symposium on congenital heart disease, is presented by the Children's Heart Center and the Mississippi Radiological Society.
Dr. Makram Ebeid, division chief and director of the Pediatric Catheterization Lab and Hybrid Interventions, and Dr. David Wessel, chief of critical care medicine and cardiology, Children's National Medical Center, are scheduled to speak, along with three visiting experts in pediatric congenital heart disease: Dr. Nancy Ayres and Dr. Wayne J. Franklin of the Baylor College of Medicine and Dr. Kelly Han of the Children's Heart Clinic in Minneapolis, Minn.
