Lodge to offer Hope on Medical Center campus

Discussing plans for the Mississippi Hope Lodge are, from left, Jerry Host, president and chief executive officer of Trustmark bank; Carol Pigott, president and CEO of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Mississippi; Dr. James Keeton, vice chancellor for health affairs; Deborah Bryant, First Lady of Mississippi; Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant; and Greg Bontrager, staff president and CEO of the American Cancer Association.

During the Jan. 11 Mid-South Board of Directors meeting at the Mississippi Museum of Art, the group announced that the lodge will be constructed on the Medical Center campus. The lodge will offer free shelter and support to the thousands of cancer patients and their families who travel to the Jackson area to receive treatment.  (Larger Image)
