Gaining access to DataArk for historical (pre-Epic) patient data
The UMMC Mainframe has been decommissioned and historical clinical data formerly housed in EHR Portal, Meditech, AllScripts, Invision and Signature can now be found in DataArk and other historical data viewers. There are a number of ways to access EHR Portal information: Click the DataArklink in the Epic toolbar, click on the Legacy Data icon in Citrix (DataArk must be accessed via Citrix on all Wyse devices), the Intranet Hotspot link for EHR Portal will redirect you to the new location, or go to http://legacydata.umsmed.edu or type‘legacydata’ in the address bar when on UMMC’s secure network.
To log into DataArk, enter your UMMC network login plus‘@umc’(not @umc.edu) for the username and your UMMC Employee ID number as the initial password. For example: John Doe would use jdoe@umc for the username (do NOT include .edu) and his UMMC Employee ID number for the password. Upon login, users will automatically be prompted to change their DataArk password. Change the DataArk password to match your current UMMC network password for consistency. For more information on the new locations for all legacy/mainframe application data, please view this updated ‘WhereDo I Find’ document.
