Schwartz Rounds to discuss hope in illness

Jimmy Gatewood, associate director of social work in the Department of Coordinated Care, and Dr. Rick Boyte, professor of pediatrics and director of palliative medicine, will facilitate the Schwartz Center Rounds presentation, "Supporting Hope during Serious Illness: Pediatric Cases," from noon-1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12, in classroom R153 (lower amphitheatre).

Panelists will include Lauren Casavechia, Anna Eldridge, Karen Golden, Jodee Newell and Catherine Terhune.

Attendees are asked to bring an unwrapped gift of non-perishable food, toys or clothes to help a disadvantaged family as part of the hospital outpatient department's project.
