Donly to present pediatric dentistry course

Dr. Kevin Donly, professor, chair and postdoctoral program director in the Department of Developmental Dentistry and professor of pediatrics at the University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio, will present a course on pediatric dentistry on Friday, Nov. 16, in the UMMC Conference Center at the Jackson Medical Mall Thad Cochran Center.

The course will include the early diagnosis of tooth demineralization; intervention with fluoride, glass ionomer surface protectants and sealants; and minimally invasive products and procedures.

Donly will demonstrate risk assessment usage in decision-making for restorative care in relation to recommendations made by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry.
