Turner named GSHS distinguished alumnus
Dr. Joey Granger, dean of the School of Graduate Studies in the Heath Sciences, presents a crystal vase to Dr. Helen Turner as the 2012 Distinguished Alumnus during the school's Research Day Oct. 19 at the Norman C. Nelson Student Union.
Turner, who retired last summer from her position as associate vice chancellor for academic affairs, holds a Ph.D. in microbiology as well as a medical degree from UMMC.
