UMMC retiree pens ‘thoughtful’ book
Linda P. Beard, a former UMMC hospital administration employee, recently had her first book published.
“Twixt Cato and D’Lo (and Other Places I’ve Lived)” is described by its publisher, Brentwood Press, as a “small book filled with thoughtful meaning.” Beard, who retired from UMMC in 2004, interweaves prose and poetry with some of her life experiences living in numerous places.
