Customer service reps lauded by leadership
University Physicians Pavilion customer service representatives Artvitta Courtney, left, and Shanicia Grayson show their pride after receiving Customer Service Awards at the UHHS Leadership Meeting Aug. 16.
They each drew the recognition for exhibiting a high-quality standard of performance and exemplifying institutional values in customer service.
Courtney and Grayson were nominated for the award by a patient who became distressed when his paperwork was seemingly misplaced. According to Keith Hodges, director of quality and clinical systems improvement for UP, “Shanicia and Artvitta were excellent in reassuring him everything would be OK.”
The two customer service representatives discovered the patient was in the wrong place and personally escorted him back to his car and instructed him where to park. They then walked to the correct location to await his arrival and personally helped him through the admissions process.
The patient “went on and on about the wonderful job they both did and how they were a treat to his day.”
