Olson to present Nelson research lecture
Dr. Eric Olson, Robert A. Welch Distinguished Chair in Science, Annie and Willie Nelson Professor, Pogue Distinguished Chair in Research on Cardiac Birth Defects, and professor and chair of molecular biology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, will give the Gertrude and Florian Nelson Cardiovascular Research Lecture, "Heart Making and Heart Breaking: The Molecular Circuitry of Cardiac Development, Disease and Regeneration," at noon on Thursday, Feb. 9, in classroom R153 (lower amphitheatre). The lecture is presented by the Center for Excellence in Cardiovascular-Renal Research and is sponsored by the American Heart Association. Lunch will be available on a first-come basis.
