Remembrance provides support for pregnancy loss, early infant death
By Patrice Guilfoyle
Remembrance, a support group for women and men who have experienced the loss of a child through miscarriage, stillbirth or early infant death, now offers confidential meetings from 6:30-7:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month in the University Physicians Pavilion on the campus of the University of Mississippi Medical Center. The next meeting is set for March 6.
The meetings are facilitated by genetic counselors with training in pregnancy loss, grief management and small-group discussion. The goal is to facilitate open discussions about the grieving process and to offer different strategies for ongoing healing and growth.
Attendees are not required to participate in discussions. For more information, call (601) 984-1921 or email Remembrance@umc.edu. Meetings are held in room MO-16 in the Pavilion at 1410 E. Woodrow Wilson, Jackson 39216.
