Former Gov. Winter to speak at MLK Day celebration at UMMC

WHAT: Former Mississippi Gov. William Winter to speak during UMMC celebration of diversity in memory of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

WHEN: Wednesday, Jan. 15 at noon

WHERE: Norman Nelson Student Union, UMMC campus in Jackson

WHY: Join the UMMC family for its annual observance remembering the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and celebrating diversity. Former Mississippi Gov. William Winter is scheduled to deliver the keynote speech. The event will also feature award presentations to three local students for their artwork. The ceremony is co-sponsored by the Division of Multicultural Affairs and the Department of Pastoral Services.
