Kohl’s Donates $17,425 to Children’s Hospital Safety and Community Outreach Program

WHAT: Batson Children’s Hospital’s Safety and Community Outreach program, together with Kohl’s and Safe Kids Mississippi, will host a helmet and car seat safety check. Kohl’s representatives will also be on-hand to present a $17,425 check to the Safety and Community Outreach program. 


WHEN: Saturday, October 5 from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Check presentation will be at 11 a.m.

WHY:
The event, made possible through the Kohl's Cares® program, promotes child safety and injury prevention. There will be car seat inspections and installations, a bicycle rodeo and helmet fittings, face painting and giveaways.

Since 2006, Kohl’s has donated more than $148,700 to Batson Children’s Hospital through the Kohl's Cares® program. Through this initiative, Kohl’s sells $5 books and plush toys where 100 percent of net profit benefits children’s health and education programs nationwide, including hospital partnerships like this one.
