Kohl’s Donates $23,766 to Children’s Hospital Safety and Community Outreach Program

WHAT: Batson Children’s Hospital’s Safety and Community Outreach program, together with Kohl’s and Safe Kids Mississippi will host a helmet and car seat safety check. Kohl’s representatives will also be on-hand to present a $23,766 check to the Safety and Community Outreach program.
WHEN: Wednesday, October 24 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Check presentation will be at 11 a.m.
WHERE: Entrance to Batson Children’s Hospital lobby
WHY: The event, made possible through the Kohl's Cares® program, promotes child safety and injury prevention through car seat inspection/ installation and helmet fittings. Child passenger safety and helmet educational materials will also be available to families visiting the museum.
Since 2006, Kohl’s has donated more than $133,000 to Batson Children’s Hospital through the Kohl's Cares® program. Through this initiative, Kohl’s sells $5 books and plush toys where 100 percent of net profit benefits children’s health and education programs nationwide, including hospital partnerships like this one.
