Friends of Childrens hospital to receive funds from "rocking" benefit

WHAT: Friends of Children’s Hospital will receive more than $25,000 raised from the first Rocking for Children’s Hospital Benefit, a fundraiser hosted by singing group Southern Halo in Cleveland, Miss.
WHEN: Wednesday, June 6 at 2 p.m.
WHERE: Batson Children’s Hospital Lobby on the University of Mississippi Medical Center campus.
WHY: Singing group Southern Halo (made up of three sisters ages 14, 13 and 11) hosted the first Rocking for Children’s Hospital Benefit on May 18th at The Warehouse in Cleveland featuring performances by the group and Nashville recording artist Phil Vaught. Southern Halo will present a check for $25,296.31 to Friends of Children’s Hospital board members and meet several hospital representatives. The visit will be followed by Southern Halo’s performance for children’s hospital patients in the lobby.
