UMMC School of Nursing to host health fair

WHAT: Students and faculty members from the UMMC School of Nursing will provide free information on blood pressure, stroke prevention and nutrition to residents of the midtown Jackson community on the Millsaps College campus.

WHEN: 4:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Friday, April 13

WHERE: Millsaps College, West Street lawn (enter from the Riverside Street entrance)

WHY: The School of Nursing's UNACARE clinic has become a medical home for many residents of Jackson's midtown neighborhood. Faculty members and students who serve in the clinic, which is located near Millsaps College, organized the health fair as part of an on-going effort to reach out to the community.
