Volunteer Services

University of Mississippi Medical Center volunteers play an important role in helping to provide quality, compassionate care to patients.

Volunteers make a commitment to serve once a week for 3 hours for a minimum of 3 consecutive months. Prospective volunteer are strongly encouraged to consider the time commitment, consistency, and dedication necessary to make the volunteer experience beneficial to both you as a volunteer and to the patients, families, and hospital staff we serve.

Volunteer Placements

While we do not offer opportunities for clinical exposure or shadowing hospital staff, volunteers support patients, families, and staff through various service assignments throughout the adult and Children's hospitals.

Volunteer Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM

How to volunteer at UMMC

Complete our online application. Once your application has been processed, you will be contact regarding next steps in the volunteer on-boarding process. Must be 16 years of age or older to volunteer.
