    The University of Mississippi Medical Center's (UMMC) Office of Academic Affairs offers a course for UMMC faculty.  Teaching in Medical Education (TIME): For Faculty a nine-session course designed to enhance curriculum development and presentation skills of UMMC faculty, and the course is completed online via Blackboard. 

    UMMC faculty should complete the TIME: For Faculty course, including nine sessions, homework assignments, and respective evaluations through UMMC's Blackboard. Once the course is complete, participants will receive a certificate of completion appropriate for incorporation into a professional portfolio and continuing education credits. Homework assignments and evaluations for all sessions must be completed to complete the course. Certificates are issued in June of each year to participants who successfully complete all nine sessions, homework assignments, and evaluations prior to May 1 of the same academic year.

    Due to the design of the program, once participants complete all sessions and complete all homework assignments, they will have: 1) created a new course or other type of teaching opportunity; or 2) enhanced an existing course or teaching opportunity. Registration is required.

    Complete the steps listed below.

    • View each of the nine sessions, complete homework assignments, and
      complete the corresponding evaluations. 
    • Upon completion of the course, a certificate of completion will be mailed to you, and the relative continuing education credit hours will be available in Healthstream.
