Schools at UMMC

The University of Mississippi Medical Center, located in the heart of Jackson, is the state's only academic health science center. As such, UMMC is the leader in providing health care professionals for the state and beyond.

UMMC encompasses six health science schools: medicine, nursing, dentistry, health related professions, graduate studies and pharmacy. It is the sole provider for baccalaureate and professional degrees in disciplines such as medical, dental, physical therapy, occupational therapy and dental hygiene.

More than 1,900 students are enrolled in 28 degree programs offered through UMMC's six schools, while an additional 530 residents and fellows are receiving graduate medical training.
