Biography
Dr. Robin Wilkerson is professor of nursing and director of the North Mississippi campus and the RN-MSN program at the University of Mississippi Medical Center School of Nursing. She also serves as project manager of the Pathways to Advanced Practice Nursing (PAPN) grant. Her clinical expertise is in the area of children/adolescents and their families, and she completed a pre-doctoral fellowship in developmental disability leadership at the Boling Institute of Developmental Disabilities in Memphis, Tenn.
Since completing her doctorate, she has focused her efforts on families of individuals with developmental disabilities of genetic origin. She serves as the chair of the state Early Intervention Coordinating Council and on the Mississippi State Department of Health Genetics Advisory Board. Additionally, she has taught in the undergraduate, master's and doctoral programs, focusing on child health, pathophysiology, theory, philosophy and qualitative research.
