    Application availability and deadlines

    An application for admission may be made upon completion of 41 of the 62 semester hours of required prerequisite courses for the BSN degree. For a list of RN-BSN prerequisite courses, click here. Please note that all 62 hours of RN-BSN prerequisites must be completed before beginning any BSN-level coursework. If you have questions about the prerequisites, application or the deadlines, please contact the Office of Student Records and Registrar, (601) 984-1080.

    New applications are available beginning July 1 each year. For fall admission to the RN-BSN dual-enrollment program, the application deadline is May 1, and for spring admission to the RN-BSN dual-enrollment program, the application deadline is Oct. 15.

    How to apply

    When applying, all parts to the application, including any supplemental materials, must be received by the deadline. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance within a month of the application deadline. For questions about the online application or the receipt of your application materials, please call the Office of Student Records and Registrar, (601) 984-1080.
    • A complete RN-BSN dual-enrollment program application;
    • A nonrefundable $25 application fee paid by credit card or by check, made payable to the University of Mississippi Medical Center;
    • Official ACT scores and transcripts from all colleges attended, submitted to the Office of Student Records and Registrar.

    Additional Information

    • All transcripts become the property of the University of Mississippi Medical Center and cannot be returned to the applicant or forwarded to another school or individual. Transcripts must be sent directly by the school to the Office of Student Records and Registrar.

    • Facsimile documents will not be accepted. 
    • Transcripts must be submitted to the Office of Student Records and Registrar at the end of each semester until all prerequisite requirements are completed. 
    • Report any name, address or phone number change to the Office of Student Records and Registrar. 
    • Do not send application materials to the School of Nursing. 
    • All grades, including failing grades and grades on repeat courses, are used to calculate preadmission grade point averages. 
    • The applicant is responsible for notifying the Office of Student Records and Registrar of all changes to the plan of study. 
    • Out-of-state tuition charges apply for all applicants that live outside the state of Mississippi.
