  • Accelerated BSN Plan of Study

For the Accelerated BSN program, you must complete 63 hours of prerequisite coursework. However, many of these prerequisites are classes that you more than likely completed in your bachelor’s program. Additional prerequisites may be completed at the college, university or community college of your choice.

Students must enroll in full-time study; no part-time study option is permitted in the Accelerated BSN program. Students are strongly encouraged not to work while in the program.

    Progression

Students must maintain an overall GPA of 2.0 in order to progress and graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. If a student receives a grade of “D” or “F” in a course, the student will not be allowed to continue in the Accelerated BSN program.

The student may be allowed to convert to the Traditional BSN program as space is available; however, this may prolong the course of study. If, after converting to the Traditional BSN program, the student receives another “D” or “F” in any course, the student will be dismissed from the program.

    Withdrawal

Course withdrawals are not allowed in the Accelerated BSN program.

If a student withdraws from a course, the student will not be allowed to continue in the Accelerated BSN program but may be allowed to convert to the Traditional BSN program. Once the student converts to the Traditional BSN program, only one additional course withdrawal is allowed.
