Accreditation Adherence and Reporting
The SOM Office for Academic Affairs ensures that the educational program of the School of Medicine adheres to the standards for accreditation established by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). It works in conjunction with school and institution leadership to provide the necessary reports to the LCME to maintain accreditation.
The educational program of the School of Medicine was reaccredited for an eight year term by the LCME during its site visit in February 2012. The next site visit will be held in the 2019-2020 academic year.
