  • Adult Ambulatory Services

    The Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic (AOPC) provides comprehensive psychiatric medical services utilizing diagnostic and therapeutic modalities. The Adult Outpatient Clinic offers care to patients 18 years of age and older for a variety of psychiatric disorders including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, symptoms related to stress, and psychotic disorders including schizophrenia. The majority population served by the Adult Outpatient Clinic are from the tri-county area: Hinds, Madison and Rankin. Patients are referred through physicians, other mental health providers or by self-referral. Patients are accepted into the Adult Outpatient Clinic according to clinical, educational and research appropriateness and not their financial status.

    Teaching activities include teaching third-year psychiatry residents and third-year medical students.

    All clinic personnel, residents and students are under the supervision of the AOPC medical director
