During the period from August 2000 until August 2012 we provided support services for women, children, youth and families affected by HIV/AIDS through a Ryan White Program HIV/AIDS Program Part D grant, Central MS Circle of Care. Due to budget and work plan changes to meet competing grant guidance in 2012, funds were shifted to support additional case management devoted to women and adolescents with HIV/AIDS. The Circle of Care office was closed July 31, 2012. An RN case manager funded by the current Part D award provides case management for Part D-eligible clients receiving primary HIV care in the Adult Special Care Clinic at the Jackson Medical Mall. The current Pediatric HIV Program staff is composed of a pediatric nurse practitioner, an RN case manager for perinatal patients, an RN case manager for adolescents, an RN case manager for HIV-exposed infants, and an administrative assistant II.
