Dr. Kolodney is president of the Mississippi Dental Association (MDA). He is past chair of the Communications Council of the MDA and past secretary-treasurer of the MDA Fourth District Dental Society. He is a past chairman of the American College of Dentists, Mississippi Section. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Prosthodontists and the American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics and a member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society.

Dr. Kolodney is a presenter at state and national programs and symposiums chiefly in the areas of general and maxillofacial prosthodontics and applications of advanced digital technologies. He has contributed a significant number of publications and peer reviewed articles.
