Welcome to the Department of Otolaryngology and Communicative Sciences' website at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson. We are very proud of what our department has grown to be over the first 11 years of its life as a department. We have outstanding capabilities in teaching, research and clinical care.

Our department has first-class divisions of otolaryngology, communicative sciences, dermatology, research and oral oncology and biobehavioral medicine. Our faculty members have come to be recognized as national leaders in research, education and clinical care in our field.

We aspired to be the best department in the country in terms of customer service, and we have now realized this goal. Our department prides itself on having fun, promoting a collegial environment, constantly pursuing excellence and improvement, working as a team and being at the forefront of our institution and the nation in terms of innovation.
