Janet L. Ricks, DO
Dr. Janet Ricks has been an associate professor of the Department of Family Medicine since 2007. Her undergraduate training was in biology at Mississippi University for Women in Columbus, She earned her medical degree from the University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, MO.
Dr. Ricks completed her residency at University of Mississippi Medical Center's family medicine program. After several years in private practice, she returned to the family medicine residency at UMMC as assistant professor. Since that time, osteopathic manipulation clinics and a rotation in osteopathic manipulation have been developed at UMMC.
She is a diplomate of American Board of Family Medicine and a member of American Osteopathic Association, American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, Mississippi Academy of Family Physicians (and Mississippi Osteopathic Medical Association.
