Dr. Deborah S. O'Bryan joined the Department of Family Medicine in 2009 as assistant professor, following completion of the family medicine residency at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She completed an internship in the family medicine residency program, AHEC South, in El Dorado, Ark., and practiced emergency medicine in Arkansas and Texas before moving to Mississippi.
Dr. O'Bryan received her doctorate of medicine degree from the University of Arkansas College of Medicine in Little Rock following college at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
Within the UMMC Department of Family Medicine, Dr. O'Bryan serves as the physician for the on-campus Quick Care Clinic, which serves employees and their dependants.
She is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, Society of Teachers of Family Medicine,Mississippi Academy of Family Physicians and Mississippi State Medical Association.
In her free time, Dr. O'Bryan enjoys swimming, cooking, gardening and traveling with her husband and two daughters.
