    Program likes: The people - faculty (who all have diverse specialty backgrounds) and fellow residents. The patient population is diverse with high acuity.

    Progam likes: After leaving Louisiana for medical school and living as far away as the Caribbean to NY, I looked forward to returning to southern hospitality. Our program has a great group of people that work well together. Working at the only Level 1 trauma center in the state allows for maximum learning opportunities.

    Program likes: The residents and staff provide countless opportunities to learn emergency medicine in a benign, constructive manner. Furthermore, I feel as though our program is a close-knit circle of not only colleagues, but friends.

    mclemore, gere.jpgI am originally from North Mississippi, but have been in Jackson for the past 8 years since graduating from Mississippi State University. I enjoy all things outdoors, including hunting, fishing and golf. I attended medical school here at the University Of Mississippi School of Medicine, and staying in Jackson for a residency in Emergency Medicine was not a hard decision. The patient population, high patient volume and the available resources offer the best experience possible for training in emergency medicine.

    Program likes: The diversity of patient population and the pathology that presents to UMMC, only Level 1 trauma center in the state, great co-workers, good lectures and a lot of teaching
