I was born and raised in Tennessee. My wife, daughter and I chose UMMC for the program's strong reputation, patient population and proximity to home. My academic interests are emergency procedures and wilderness medicine. When away from the hospital, you will likely find me on the reservoir, the local mountain bike trails, digging ditches with my sand wedge or building various things with wood.
