• Specific: Regulation of tubuloglomerular feedback, renal mechanisms of hypertension, kidney injury.

Research methods

Microperfusion of kidney tubules and arterioles in vitro, molecular biology, cell biology, cell culture, whole-animal physiology, and knockout and transgenic mouse models, acute and chronic measurements of arterial pressure and renal hemodynamics (telemetry, GFR), acute kidney injury (surgery and marker measurement).

Current projects

• Nitric oxide in the macula densa protects against Ang II-induced hypertension and renal injury.
