Biochemistry Facilities
The major facility in Biochemistry is the UMMC AUC Facility directed by Dr Jack Correia. This facility provides collaborative support for Analytical Ultracentrifuge analysis of macromolecules and their assembly. Since 1994, the AUC Facility has produced over 60 scientific papers. See link to the right.
The Mississippi Biophysical Consortium is an effort to encourage and support collaborations between biophysical scientists in the state and the region. Goals include funding of shared instrumentation grants (NIH or NSF) and an annual meeting of the consortium members to facilitate student mentoring and education. Our fifth MBC was held June 21-22 at the University of Southern Mississippi. Our next meeting will be May 2013 at Mississippi State University. See link to the right.
A link to other UMMC core facilities is also listed to the right.
