Degree and Accreditation

Following satisfactory completion of all requirements, the student will be awarded the master of health informatics and information management degree from the University of Mississippi.

The Master of Health Informatics and Information Management program has received SACSCOC approval through the University of Mississippi Medical Center's accreditation by Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). SACS information can be found at http://www.sacscoc.org.

Certification

Students who complete the HIM with RHIA eligibility track are eligible to sit for the Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) national certification exam, administered by the American Health Information Management Association's Commission on Certification for Health Informatics and Information Management (CCHIIM).
