AADR - The American Association for Dental Research (AADR), headquartered in Alexandria, Va., is a non-profit organization with more than 4,000 members in the United States. Its mission is: (1) to advance research and increase knowledge for the improvement of oral health; (2) to support and represent the oral health research community; and (3) to facilitate the communication and application of research findings. The AADR is the largest Division of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR).
ACT Center - The ACT Center for Tobacco Treatment, Education and Research - The mission of the ACT Center is to improve the health of Mississippi youth and their families by reducing tobacco use through research, education, prevention and treatment.
CITI Training for Human Research - The purpose of the CITI program is to develop, implement and maintain a web based educational program in the protection of human subjects in research. Currently there are 18 basic modules for Biomedical Research and 17 basic modules for people in Social and Behavioral Research.
Continuing Education - The University of Mississippi School of Dentistry is an ADA CERP recognized provider and an Accepted National Sponsor of FAGD/MAGD credit. Continuing education credits issued for participation in dental continuing education activities may not apply toward license renewal in all states. It is the responsibility of each participant to verify the requirements of his/her state licensing board(s). IACUC - Instutional Animal Care and Use Committee - The mission of IACUC is to oversee the care and use of animals in research, testing, and education at the University of Mississippi Medical Center; to review all proposed and ongoing research protocols involving the use of live animals, to ensure compliance with all federal, state and institutional policies and to ensure the inclusion of adequate and proper record keeping and surveillance. NIDCR/NIH - The mission of the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research is to improve oral, dental and craniofacial health through research, research training, and the dissemination of health information.
