    Patient Care Coordinator

    The patient care coordinator, Dr. Teresa Perkins, coordinates the activities of the undergraduate clinical programs within the Department of Clinical Affairs. The PCC Coordinator monitors Clinical Problem Solving activities with Students and Faculty Advisors at the School of Dentistry. She is the Quality Assurance Officer, as well as the Infection Control Officer and performs scheduled and unscheduled inspections of all patient care areas.

    The PCC Coordinator is an advocate for students as well as patients. Documentation of problems, and development of corrective actions plans are also the responsibility of the PCC Coordinator, in addition to routinely monitoring the compliance of students, staff, and faculty. The PCC Coordinator is chairman of the Means Tested Care Program, which assists patients with limited finances to complete their treatment plans developed by students and approved by Dental School Faculty.
