CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL DENTAL SERVICE

The Children's Hospital Dental Service rotation provides both primary and specialized oral health care for infants and children through adolescence, with special emphasis on special needs children.

The AEGD resident along with the attending faculty will provide direct patient care for those ambulatory pediatric patients referred to this Children's Hospital Dental Service. Residents will also provide consultation along with direct patient care for patients currently in the Children's Hospital and will participate in conscious sedation and general anesthesia cases at the University Hospital Surgical Suites. The resident will have the opportunity to provide emergency treatment to pediatric patients who present to the School of Dentistry with acute care needs.
