Dr. Dwight McComb

After serving as chief resident in internal medicine at UMMC, Dr. Dwight McComb is now chief of staff at a small community hospital in Amory, MS, located in the county where he grew up. A certified specialist in clinical hypertension, he’s also the medical director of the wound care center and a hospice agency.

“I went into medicine because I loved the science and the problem-solving, but mostly because I saw a way to give back to my community. Small-town Mississippians deserve quality health care, and I’m doing my best to deliver it. I came home.”
