UMMC Conference Center

Thank you for your interest in the UMMC Conference Center at the Jackson Medical Mall. This facility is part of the University of Mississippi Medical Center and consists of a 500-seat theater and four smaller conference rooms of various sizes. The center is located at the northwest corner of the Jackson Medical Mall and is isolated from the remainder of the mall with its own entrance and ample free parking. The Jackson Medical Mall is a smoke-free facility within the confines of the perimeter fence and the building.

The use of the UMMC Conference Center is restricted to non-commercial programs and meetings, consistent with the policies of the Board of Trustees of the State Institutions of Higher Learning:

• Continuing education and staff development activities offered for health care professionals.
• Patient health care education meetings.
• Public education meetings related to issues of public health, including wellness, fitness, illness prevention and promotion of a healthy lifestyle.
• Community meetings involving the Medical Center and/or the Jackson Medical Mall Foundation where the constituency served by the mall will be participating in activities designed for the betterment of those communities and which will ultimately have a positive impact on the health and welfare of the citizens of the community.
• No activity may be conducted in the Conference Center by non-UMMC personnel for the purposes of generating revenue.

Reasonable fees are charged for room rental, audiovisual equipment and technical assistance, security, office assistance (photocopying etc.), service charges, catering, damage deposits, cancellations, late fees, sales tax and other items as necessary. Neither UMMC nor the Medical Mall Foundation assumes liability for damages or loss of articles before, during or after an event.

UMMC catering service provides food and beverages for all functions. If they are unable to provide the needed services, an alternate caterer with a food facility permit through the Mississippi State Department of Health will be utilized. No group may bring its own food and beverages into the center.
