  • Patients Leaving Isolation Room For Other Reasons

Patients on Airborne or Contact Precautions must remain in their rooms unless there are extenuating circumstances. In those situations, call the Infection Control RN at (601) 984-2188.

For certain types of isolation, special precautions must be taken,  including:

    • Contact: Ambulatory patients should wear a cover gown and cleanse their hands well. The patients can walk in the common hallways outside of the units. The patients may not go to the cafeteria.
    • Droplet: Ambulatory patients should put on a mask before leaving the room.
