  • Value Analysis

The Value Analysis Program exists to uphold the UMMC Supply Chain Management mission by centering on the identification of waste, redundancy, and inefficiency, within our organization and instigating cost-savings options. Our program is established to lead and manage the processes for obtaining the highest-valued supplies & services and ensure their availability at the lowest total delivered cost, in support of Education, Quality Patient Care, and Research in a fiscally responsible manner.

The VAP will also concentrate on cost avoidance, as well as revenue enhancement.

We oversee processes for introducing new products and technologies into the system.  We are dedicated to increasing efforts to attain optimal pricing, standardization and utilization of supplies, services, and processes. The program is centered on organizing clinical supply utilization and standardization, in order to ensure improved revenue capture for high-cost supplies.

UMHC offers services in Mississippi that other healthcare systems do not. We must be competitive in our market place to become and remain a leader in advancing healthcare. For more information on our Value Analysis Program or to avail our services, please contact Jennifer Douglas at (601) 984-1355 or any of our staff via e-mail at ValueAnalysis@umc.edu.
