Hand Mail

Hand Mail is mail that is addressed to a local state government agency, is picked up, and hand delivered to the address by a courier.  It is essential that the and mail be separate from all other mail.  Hand mail should be placed in an envelope and plainly marked in the upper right-hand corner "HAND MAIL" in red ink.  All envelopes marked "HAND MAIL" are placed in a box and picked up by a courier from the downtown areas on a daily basis.  Hand mail should be at the UMMC Post Office by 10:30 a.m. to ensure distribution for courier service that same day.
