Dental Plan Benefit Changes

UMMC faculty and staff eligible for benefits are those working full-time or part-time employees working 20 hours or more per week.

Dental plan enhancements effective Jan.1, 2008, include removing the six month waiting period for those who did not enroll when initially eligible (late entrants) for Type A and Type B preventive benefits. Also, the maximum benefit for vision equipment for a 24-month period increased from $120 to $150. Our current dental carrier, Gilsbar's, website has been enhanced. To check the status of a claim, view or print Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) sheets and access who is currently listed as a covered family member, go to https://www.mygilsbar.com and register as a participant.
